As part of a trial to demonstrate the power of Edd:e, the CEF South Shields branch was fitted with an Edd:e system covering two distribution boards. This allowed Utilitywise to measure 42 circuits; every circuit in the branch.

As well as accessing the usage data through the www.ask-eddie.com website the branch manager also received a monthly desk top consultancy report written by Utilitywise showing areas of high usage. The data showed a number of systems operating out of hours which were subsequently changed to provide savings.
