Retrofit Accelerator for Homes: deep retrofit innovation partnership is live and open to bids
The big retrofit opportunityThe drive towards net zero homes is receiving ever-growing Government support, with funding through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund pilot (£50m) and the full fund (£3.8bn) to follow soon after. This gives much needed certainty that retrofit is here to stay and that it will grow exponentially over coming years.With that in mind, four UK housing providers have already signed up to the first tranche of IP schemes, with a further four already gearing up to join the second tranche, and more to come in following tranches.Creating a marketThe innovation partnership is set to create a market for performance assured whole house net zero energy home retrofit by nurturing the development of pioneering solutions to meet growing demand, while allowing for learning opportunities and minimising risk for those involved.Technical support to build the a pipeline of demand, foster innovation, and enable collaboration is supported through the Mayor of London’s Retrofit Accelerator – Homes, a cutting-edge programme jointly funded by the European Regional Development Fund and provided by Turner and Townsend and Energiesprong UK.What’s next?The innovation partnership is now open to submissions and they are keen to hear from a diverse range of suppliers.Up to 10 suppliers will be able to join the innovation partnership - they welcome bids from SMEs, consortiums, and large corporations.The submission deadline for supplier qualification is 11 December 2020.More detailed information can be found using the links below: Tender documents Watch the IP launch webinar Share your details with other suppliers interested in joining a consortiums
