The Association for Decentralised Energy
British ground source heat pump specialists Kensa are proud to announce a new charity initiative in support of National Energy Action (NEA) and their vision to end fuel poverty in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Throughout February, Kensa employees across the UK will raise funds and awareness for NEA by collectively moving 6,000km, symbolising the more than 6 million people currently living in fuel poverty. The team will walk, run, cycle, and swim to reach the ambitious target, with 1,000km representing each million individuals affected by the ongoing crisis driven by persistently high energy costs.
By raising funds and awareness, Kensa aims to support NEA's vital work in helping vulnerable households stay warm and healthy, while also highlighting the serious challenges facing millions across the UK. To maximize the impact, Kensa will match every pound raised by employees and supporters with a contribution of up to £5,000.
NEA relies on the generous support of its donors and partners in order to continue providing life changing energy advice, financial support and Winter Warmth Support Packs to those suffering in fuel poverty. Fundraising also helps to continue NEA’s campaigning efforts to keep fuel-poor households at the heart of policy decisions, develop accredited training and qualifications to improve standards in advice and undertake research and share insights to raise awareness and find solutions.
Members of the public can track Kensa's progress throughout February via the company’s social media channels. Those looking to support the initiative and the work of National Energy Action can contribute via a dedicated JustGiving page.
