Industry welcomes energy efficiency taskforce, but voices concern over representation
The Government has today announced which experts will form its new dedicated energy efficiency taskforce.
Chris Friedler, Energy Efficiency Policy Manager at the ADE, said:“The ADE is very pleased to see the government advancing the Energy Efficiency Taskforce with Lord Callanan and Alison Rose as its Chairs. The ADE, its members, and wider industry stand ready to assist, engage, and deliver with and on the taskforce’s goals.
“We have initial concerns installers and those in other parts of the supply chain are not sufficiently represented, but we welcome the clear emphasis on green finance and regulatory frameworks. The taskforce must investigate options for the owner occupier sector in particular, and with the ADE’s experience in this space, we will work collaboratively with the taskforce to deliver comfortable, affordable and sustainable buildings for all.”
