You will be working on strengthening the cooperation between British and Danish authorities on efficient use of energy, with the purpose of increasing the pace of the global green transition, and thereby improving framework conditions for the Danish renewables industry in the UK. Your role will be to share expertise from Denmark with UK authorities, in order to help the UK government, deliver its ambitions for deployment of low carbon technologies. This role predominantly focuses on heat networks and energy efficiency in buildings and industry, but some engagement on wind, hydrogen, CCUS and other technologies may be part of your brief. Depending on your experience, you can expect to take a role in project management, representing the Danish Embassy at government working groups, writing briefings, engaging with politicians and policymakers up to ministerial level, event management and shaping the EGP strategy.You will be employed at the Danish Embassy in London, joining a sociable and friendly cohort of 55+ employees, and reporting to the Regional Director of the Trade Council (TC). You will join the Embassy’s Energy Team, a group of motivated energy experts with cross-cutting roles covering policy and commercial interests. Other than the UK and devolved administrations, key stakeholders include the Centre for Global Cooperation at the Danish Energy Agency as the primary partner followed by the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy & Utilities, and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.The Embassy operates a Danish working culture, including flexi-time working arrangements and working from home one day per week.Find the job description attached for more information and how to apply.
