ADE: ‘We will build the brightest, most positive futures in the Future Energy Scenarios’
Chris Friedler, Policy Manager at the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE), said:National Grid ESO’s Future Energy Scenarios continue to explore the variety of possible futures available for our energy system, ranging from not striving to deliver to net zero at all to working to enable rapid change, in some cases highly consumer-led, in others relying highly on fast-paced technological innovation. The ADE fully supports three key policy recommendations in the report - a demand side strategy with further incentives for flexible electricity, a wider plan for rolling out insulation to boost energy efficiency and a regional approach to decarbonising heat. These recommendations strongly align with the ADE's vision for a more resilient, secure and sustainable decentralised energy system, and we will work with all our members leading in these areas to build the brightest, most positive futures outlined in the Future Energy Scenarios report.
