The site at Banbury produces its own electricity, steam and heat onsite and has done since 1991 when Centrax first fitted the combined heat and power system. In total the engines produces around 3.5MW of electricity and 8 tonnes of steam each.
In 2012 2G installed a further unit to make the most of the waste produced by the coffee making process. The waste is processed to produce biogas in just 10 hours which is then used to generate more electricity, steam and heat for the site.
