Our Team

Meriel is Capacity Market Manager for the UK division of RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST).  RWE is Europe’s third largest renewable energy provider (behind Iberdrola of Spain and Enel of Italy) and the second largest offshore wind generator.   It also owns a number of thermal power stations in Europe.

Meriel also set up and heads Edgware Energy Limited, a small specialist licensed UK electricity supply subsidiary of RWEST, which provides a commercial route to market for distributed assets – mainly wind, hydro and biomass, as well as bespoke electricity supplies.

Meriel has over 20 years’ experience in the energy industry.   Previous roles include Commercial Innovation BDM at RWE, Fuel Manager at International Power plc and Fuel Analyst at National Power plc.   She is Vice-Chair of Great Somerford Parish Council and a Trustee of three local charities, including the Free Gardens, which are the oldest allotments in England.
