1Energy Group is a leading independent developer of low carbon heat networks in towns and cities across the UK, taking projects from the earliest stages of origination through to delivery and ongoing operation of the networks. The founders of 1Energy together set up and grew the UK’s largest district heating ESCO and have been responsible for building more than 45 district heating schemes and setting up successful energy businesses for global energy companies.​

We have a growing team of subject matter experts who have worked across central / local government and the private sector in the policy, regulation, development, design, delivery, investment and operation of heat networks across the UK​. In 2022 we established a joint venture with Europe’s largest independent investor in district heating, Asper Investment Management, who have secured £220m in a dedicated fund to invest into UK heat networks and we are quickly building a portfolio of projects in development and construction.
