The ADE welcomes the Select Committee on Science and Technology's report

The report, ‘Clean Growth: Technologies for meeting the UK’s emissions reduction targets’, highlights how customers are supportive of the transition to a net zero economy, but all too often they remain confused as to the best action that they can take.  It is vital that policy is designed to ensure that customers are able to make the right choices for them, which will in turn enable the transition to net zero; this is particularly crucial for heat, transport and energy efficiency policy.This report is an encouraging addition to the plethora of evidence which indicates the need to move away from welcome rhetoric, towards concrete, clear policy: across the UK business is ready to invest, but there is an ever-pressing need for clear signals and long-term vision from the government, to allow businesses and individuals to act.’
