At the ADE, we have been working to ensure that we are able to inform Governments and regulators about our members critical requirements during the current crisis. The decentralised energy sector will not ‘down tools’- our members run critical utilities and we have a duty to protect consumers and continue to supply electricity, flexibility, heating and hot water to consumers throughout the period of the pandemic. Through the coming months, the ADE will support our sector in liaising with Government during the coronavirus pandemic so that we can be as prepared as possible during and after the country’s response. The ADE is fully equipped to function online and all our working groups, forums and seminars are going ahead using web based systems. We know that our members want to maintain as much momentum in both policy and business development as possible as a quick recovery will be key to business success. It is clear that Trade Associations are more important than ever in delivering two-way communication with the Government, which is otherwise unable to talk to individual companies. We are here for the decentralised energy sector; if you are looking for further information or support, please get in touch via external.affairs@theade.co.uk.
