As a Council-owned energy company we’re driven by quality rather than profit, and our mission to supply better value energy to our customers that’s reliable and environmentally friendly guides all that we do.This role is vital in articulating the way Energetik does things differently to our wide range of internal and external stakeholders, promoting our successes and demonstrating the benefits of our approach.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the specific expectations of the role are as follows; Take the lead in devising and implementing Energetik’s communications and PR strategy to support the business’s corporate objectives, providing expert advice to inform corporate thinking; Work closely with the Managing Director, Head of Stakeholder Engagement and customer services subcontractor in translating Energetik’s mission statement into compelling propositions which engage existing customers, appeal to new ones and build brand awareness among our wide range of internal and external stakeholders; Use this positioning to refine our strategic approach to customer and stakeholder engagement; Use evidence, insight and creativity to work with the customer services subcontractor to understand consumer behaviour, drive innovation and identify areas for improvement, build customer trust and minimise complaints; Produce, review and update customer literature and communications in line with industry best practice and changing regulation; Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractor partners and Council staff, identifying and using effective channels for communicating with them, finding opportunities for joint promotion and for gathering feedback; Work with internal and external creative teams and agencies to plan and deliver publications, visual assets and creative campaigns; Produce, review and update Energetik's corporate communications and promotional material for all audiences; Manage Energetik’s website: review / update / produce content, respond to incoming company enquiries; Reprocure Energetik’s design and web agency, implementing a design review and content refresh / rebuild of Energetik’s website; Establish a wider social media presence for Energetik; Keep track of relevant policy and industry landscape developments and coordinate Energetik’s responses to consultations; Work with the Council's Communications and Strategy teams to stay up to date with Enfield communication strategies and policies; Provide expert advice and assurance on internal and external communications, reputation management and engagement matters to the Managing Director and the Council’s Head of Communications; Plan and deliver corporate events; Manage the Marketing and Communications budgetThe person we needThis is a diverse role to be delivered by an experienced, hands-on communications specialist who is proven in engagement and who rises to a challenge. This person will; Have a track record of turning out powerful and measurable communication strategies and content, ideally with both B2B and B2C experience Experienced in influencing and managing expectations both internally and externally across a wide range of audiences Excellent at ‘keeping it simple’, translating technical information into strategy and content that can be understood by everyone from the boardroom to the vulnerable customer A ‘can do’ approach and demonstrable creative skills in writing, editing, creating briefs and strategies Have an interest and understanding of the changing energy landscape and incorporate it into high-level business thinking, with Energetik’s diverse customer base and plans for growth in mind Have an interest in customer research and behaviour, with an ability to interpret results into clear and actionable insights Commercially pragmatic, able to deliver high impact work on a limited budget Will thrive in an environment where every day is different and things can change quickly, able to hit the ground running A real people person who develops powerful working relationships quickly and maintains them successfully A team player but comfortable to be given independence and freedom to get things done Energetic, positive and a welcome addition to every room Be adept at understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders and finding simplicity from complexity Have a creative flair and attention to detail especially regarding English grammarExperience and understanding of heat networks / decentralised energy are not essential but would be beneficial or an interest in clean / green tech industries.
