Caroline Bragg, Director of Policy and Research at the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE), said:Today’s call for evidence for the net zero review sets a very broad approach to net zero. It’s clear the government is primarily interested in growth, energy security and reducing cost. The ADE firmly backs the net zero target, which will directly spur growth through jobs and investment in new technologies, support energy security through reduced gas use and ultimately reduce costs for businesses and consumers, both in the short- and long-term.Now we want to see real-world progress on implementing the decentralised energy solutions that will actually take the UK to net zero. We look forward to engaging with the government on this and helping to deliver its key manifesto commitment.
